The Old Mill is open from 1-4PM Tuesday through Sunday. While visiting the Mill you will find a self-guided tour available in the 1816 adobe building. After visiting the building we suggest you stroll through our native California garden, along tree shaded paths and brick lined patios.
Docent Guided Tours:
- Docent guided tours are available for groups of 6 or more with advance reservation. Docent tours give a detailed glimpse of early California life beginning with the California Mission period through the present. Docent guided tours may be part of a larger event (luncheon or dinner) or a destination in themselves.
- Led by a member of The Diggers Garden Club, garden tours are available for garden and horticultural groups by reservation only.
- Docent guided school tours are available by advance reservation. The Mill was originally constructed and operated as the first grist mill for the San Gabriel Mission. School groups learn about the early California mission period, the construction of an adobe building and the grinding of grain.
